- What are the objectives of the program
Combat hunger and promote food and nutrition security;
Combating poverty and other forms of deprivation of families;

- Who can participate in the program
The target population of the program consists of families living in poverty or extreme poverty.
Extremely poor families are those who have a monthly income of up to R $ 77.00 per person. The poor families are those that have monthly income between R $ 77.01 and R $ 154.00 per person. Poor families participate in the program, provided they have pregnant women and children or adolescents between 0 and 17 years.
To apply for the program, the family must be enrolled in the Federal Government's Single Registry for Social Programs, with its data updated for less than 2 years.
If you meet the income requirements and are not registered, look for the person in charge of the Family Grant Program in the city hall of your city to enroll in the Single Registry.
And keep your data always updated, informing the city hall of any change, such as address and contact telephone number and changes in the constitution of your family, such as birth, death, marriage, separation, adoption, etc.
Registration is a prerequisite, but does not imply immediate entry of families into the program or receipt of the benefit. Every month, the Ministry of Social Development and Fight against Hunger (MDS) selects, in an automated way, the families that will be included to receive the benefit.

- Income from zero to R $ 154
Families with monthly income from zero to R $ 154.00 per person, who have in their composition adolescents between 16 and 17 years.
